PEARL IZUMI
For over 50 years, Pearl Izumi has designed and manufactured apparel and equipment for athletes that, quite literally, have set the standards for outdoor performance. Named by our founder , Kinji Shimizu, for the fresh, clean spring water that supplied his boyhood home in Japan, Pearl Izumi (clean spring water) has fulfilled his heartfelt wish by creating an "endless flow of shining pearls" - apparel and equipment that enhances the outdoor experience. While our gear has evolved and our product lines have grown, our philosophy remains unchanged - produce the most innovotive, performance-oriented products available for the cyclist, runner and outdoor athlete at every level.
